About

CAMC Foundation, Inc. is the fund-raising organization for Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), a regional medical center that is recognized for its excellence in medical services. The foundation works with donors to secure current and future support for CAMC programs and services to improve the health of the people in West Virginia.

The CAMC Foundation, Inc. was established by the board of trustees of CAMC in 1976. Looking to the future of health care in southern West Virginia, the board set aside financial resources to fund the foundation with the goal of promoting the general health of the community.

The CAMC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. As the philanthropic arm of CAMC, the foundation’s mission is to support and promote Charleston Area Medical Center’s delivery of excellent and compassionate health services and its contributions to the quality of life and economic vitality of the region.  Gifts to the foundation support the mission of CAMC to improve the health status of the communities it serves.

The CAMC Foundation is guided by a volunteer board of directors representing many facets of our community, as well as a staff of individuals with many years experience and strong community ties and loyalty.
